The first of its kind was a union between an Arizona couple last weekend. They had a virtual crowd of over 2,000 guests! Awesome!
Native tokens were used in paying for the event location, set-up| decoration, event planner fee, bride and groom clothing, even guests ‘asoebi’ like Nigerians call event uniforms. You pay for items just as you would require for physical weddings…hahaha
Although no legal backing yet for the marriages on metaverse you can get a MANA marriage license that tokenises your union as an NFT (non-fungible token)
PS: MANA is a native token of Decentraland (a blockchain ecosystem)
If you are from my cultural clime, where marriages are super big deals and resources sapping for those who are bound by societal expectations?
